Affordable Bodysuits Every Elegant Woman Needs for Casual Nights Out

I live for easy dressing but still looking like a million bucks. As mentioned in my GAP Factory Top Basics Haul And Review, I do not want to think when conjuring up something to wear. This counts for going out at night with my girlfriends. 

Here is my haul of Fashion Nova bodysuits and tops.

With credit from my last Fashion Nova return, I purchased these to see how they fit on my body and into my life. As I am in a new nocturnal routine this year, I am doing an experiment where I go out with my girls almost every night for a social experiment. In 5 months, I will report back, so you can stay updated here to see how it went.

Why bodysuits? 

This is the ultimate lazy girl luxury style for ladies who frequent casual nights out with girlfriends. 

They are perfect for avoiding wardrobe malfunctions, you do not need to tuck them in for that sleek look, the right material – something slinky – will be comfortable with no adjusting needed. I have the bodysuit styling strategy down to a tea.

Perfectly paired with jeans, petal pushers, mini skirts, pencil skirts, and all of the tailored bottoms you can think of – they will never go out of style. This is why I made sure to purchase timeless colours and cuts. With that in mind, I find myself reaching for them more and more. 

My issue with other brands that create bodysuits

A lot of companies use the same two warehouses that manufacture and assemble materials, so it does not make sense to purchase a $200 bodysuit. Especially after the whole luxury scandal blew up of ‘luxury’ mainstream brands essentially creating an iPhone situation. Mostly manufactured in China whilst being stitched and constructed in Italy by another sweatshop.

You’re essentially paying for the same thing with a marked up price for no odd reason. It does not make sense to me, and I felt quite cheated after sitting with my luxury pieces. It is not like before the 80s before Christian Dior ultimately created the fast fashion model making more ‘affordable’ pieces for the masses to purchase to feel as if they are a part of the originally haute couture brand.

After other luxury houses followed suit, this trickled down to the high volume low cost industry that people shame on social media when still not fully understanding the process of crafting apparel. It is an ouroboros of finding the lesser evil.

There are some tops in this haul collection that I plan on wearing at home. 

I look forward to being glamorous at home. Dressing up for myself and looking in the mirror. Not to mention turning my man’s head when he comes home. It always keep things interesting for your mind. If some look salacious, it is because I do not plan on wearing them out. Especially the ones that are more plunge and open-hearted.

In this cooler season, I tend to layer and bodysuits actually help me with warmth, and I thought of future use for Summertime adventures as well. I really think at least a year ahead when I purchase an item. It is going in my Forever Wardrobe and I plan to wear it for a long time. Until the garment is in pieces pretty much.

Another lazy girl luxury I like about Fashion Nova

I live in Los Angeles and sometimes ordered are delivered the next day. Most orders are actually. It is convenient for me and I have also been to the house of the owner of the company unknowingly. I found out retrospectively. On top of that, I have been buying Fashion Nova since I was first discovering myself as a 20 year old for the first time when I was living by myself in my apartment.

They primarily focus on trends while having classic pieces that reinvigorate your wardrobe. You can try out trends without committing to a price tag that you are not certain about yet.

Something important to know

Fashion Nova does not give refunds and was sued for not disclosing this clearly on their website. Even though this was settled, you only receive credit for future purchases in form of a code or gift card for your Apple Wallet. I simply go back to find a gown I like. They have a great selection for formal events I like to wear to the symphony and black tie events.

Returns are your friend. Take advantage of them until you find something you absolutely love wearing till death.
