$9 Elegant Basic Tops That Are Stretchy, Snatched & Comfortable For Winter: GAP Factory Haul
Hello, Gorgeous!
If you are like me, you are all about the lazy girl luxuries. Everything is convenient, easy, and you can throw on a polished look without using brainpower. I love when ladies find an excuse to approach me to make a positive remark about my outfit. That is the power of lazy girl luxury using this formula.
This brings me to this fabulous haul of top quality basiques.
I love love love GAP Factory, because everything is so well made with high quality construction and stretchy, thick materials. They really thought through their essential designs from everything in the process of purchase to comfortable yet stylish fits. I cannot iterate this enough.
If you have not tried GAP Factory, this is one of the few brands I will tell you to run, don’t walk. I never say this, because not a lot of shopping is a priority except for beauty to feel healthy, clean, and sane. But GAP Factory always hits. For me anyway.
I do not believe in forcing people or holding them in a chokehold to make style decisions or else they are not considered stylish. Do what works for you, babe.

As a heads up, the same company that owns Banana Republic Factory runs Gap Factory, so you will see a couple smart pieces in here from them as well. It was a one-step checkout process. Lazy girl luxury – as I said.
Rebuilding The Uniform
A few years ago, I posted The Uniform on my blog and you ladies loved it. Essentially, it was a capsule wardrobe with high quality pieces that were mid-range to luxury affordable. I wore everything on repeat, styling them strategically so everyone thought I was constantly wearing new pieces.
However, now that I have grown stylishly, it’s significant to note how I am more interested in building assembling a capsule wardrobe is not my goal anymore. The Forever Wardrobe is what motivates me when shopping mindfully with purpose.
Disclaimer: I do not like wasting money on things I will not use and prefer to use my items to death! You have been warned. ðŸ¤
Here is everything I purchased with intention:
This is enough for a month of wear which really surprised me.
During Winter, I tend to be more lowkey with my tops.
I simply want cuts that flatter, keep me sane, and survive the cold. I do not like to adjust my clothes constantly and want to focus on what I am doing rather than what I am wearing.
The fabulous thing about this brand is they always have the same cuts in circulation, so they always come back in stock.
In other words, these picks are worth bookmarking, because they are evergreen purchases that come in and out of different colours and prints. I love solids, because conserving social energy and disappearing into the wall is my goal. However, they always have options according to your taste.
The long sleeve boatneck
This comes in all sorts of seasonal colours and are rotated on the GAP Factory website. Once they go out of stock, they come back with a little bit of patience. They also have sales often, so they start at $10 almost every season for a bit. They are an absolute steal when you try them on, and I receive countless kind words on my outfit when eyes see me donning this look alone. On the web and in person.
I’ve had two in black and navy for years, but it was time for a restock, because I find myself reaching for these a bit excessively during the cooler climate.
The long sleeve v-neck
I had these in several shades and hues, because I wear them almost every night and day when at home. Since I have options in my wardrobe to choose from, they double as pajamas, loungewear, activewear, and casual layering for chillier parts of the year.
Recently, my apartment building installed new laundry machines, but before then, they had old machines that tore my garments to shreds. These are sort of a replacement, but I still wear the ones I have with holes at home, because I absolutely adore them.
Smart long sleeve polos
Two cuts were strategically purchased. I love long sleeve polos and collars in general. They smarten up a look to not look as lazy or uncouth. These insouciant pieces were purchased with the forethought of one being on the fitted side and the other with a relaxed silhouette. The latter provides an easygoing feel and effortless style whilst showing my personality.
Over the years, I realised I love the schoolgirl look, because I wore a uniform growing up at school that was quite flattering. The dark academia look is something I have always look to find inspiration from, but this is a grown up version of that versus being a TikTok trend.
The casual boatneck shirt
If you are like me, the leisurely look of underwear being worn in public appalls me. This is a new addition to my wardrobe, because I wanted to try something new. I will report back! This is going to be reviewed in my video above with more details.
I turned to this look because of Audrey Hepburn. When a movie star as iconic, refined, and ethereal as her dons such a style — it’s definitely worth a try.
The sleeveless boatneck
There were other designs with various prints available, but I concentrated on solids, because I want to get more use out of them. I love the notion of creating a uniform that is instantly recognisable especially being lowkey. I have never bought this piece before and love boatnecks from other brands, but they lacked the same quality and feeling of luxury when I wear their cotton modal blend.
Nothing compares. Which is why I keep returning to GAP Factory. I had a similar top that is a mock neck in this cut and find myself reaching for it more regularly when frequenting my dresser. It is so modest, respectable, and full of dignity. It also pairs well with excessive costume jewellery and makes your hair and makeup stand out when styling glamorously. I will probably mercilessly wear this style until it is tattered. Just the way I like to when I love an item.
This is for all sorts of elegant ladies.
If you are a supermodel or a mom — or both — you will feel like a million bucks strutting up and down your grocery store and attending casual evening get togethers. Every aisle is a catwalk when you look and feel your best, so it makes you want to show up for everyone around you, say yes to more opportunities, and especially yourself.
We spend a fortune on taking care of our bodies. Why not show it off with beautiful clothes?
I am not saying show your skin. I am saying own simple silhouettes to enhance the focus on what you are saying and dress with ease.
My skin, hair, nails, diet, and workouts want to show through. I work so hard on presenting my best self for me at home and to the world. Even when covered up with a modest cut, you shine through. Don’t do too much. You already have a lot to offer.
You are absolutely beautiful radiating with these simple off duty model looks.
The focus is your face card that never declines, your words and actions that impact those around you. I have always loved this standard of beauty over dressing for years, and this is the first time I am embracing this.
These are my essentials for building a beautiful life. I highly recommend trying out this strategy for dressing and looking and feeling like a timeless classic.
