How to embrace rejection and carry on with dignity

Hello, Gorgeous!

I used to pursue the things I wanted like a dog chasing its tail.

If somebody says no, you are talking to the wrong person.

Never taking no for an answer is a strong suit, but you will never find it as rejection once you find out you are simply asking the wrong person.

In my culture, I bump into a lot of people who need convincing or relentlessly negotiate.

We talk over each other and it sounds like arguing to someone from a different country who does not understand this is our normal volume.

I used to laugh and be embarrassed when surrounded by loved ones who come from similar origins. At times, it can feel uncivilised especially when I find two people yelling over the phone for two hours about food.

For reasons to debate, the limit does not exist.

This is a beautiful concept as I have used this superpower to carry myself with grace.

God’s rejection is God’s protection.

Some things are not meant for you and that is okay. Or is it?

If you are seeking a relationship to build with a person. You can find the things you want in someone else.

If you are not wanted at a job interview, you can find another position or build a business.

If you are soliciting revenge from Disney, you create Dreamworks and a disgustingly high-grossing film such as Shrek.

The point is to never take the matters personally. However if you do, use that fuel towards creating something great.

If a person needs convincing, learn to be persuasive or find a person who doesn’t.

I do not believe in revenge bodies or glow ups for the sake of a breakup.

I was already marvellous to begin with. It might take years for that individual to learn that about you or instantly in a second with someone new. You are not everybody’s type and that is perfectly admissible in court.

There is significant research that men fall harder in love and rejection than women. Ladies always have options and know how to create endless opportunities with the magic of practised socialisation.

We pick up where we left off and bring that same illuminating energy to another room only to get proposed to. Sometimes I walk into a room and the first thing a man says is, ‘That’s my wife.’ Immediate satisfaction. Even if I am not interested in them.

You will always create a fire in someone’s heart as long as you originally built it.

Suffer from high self esteem.

I always joke that I suffer from high self esteem and everything bounces off me. In every jest there is truth.

There was a man at my work who I would compliment and tell him how great he is. He always agreed. It made him charming.

Some people think it is being full of yourself. I find it hilarious and endearing.

I do not really judge those who try to bring someone down on their level in this manner, because they could be going through a difficult time and do not know how to channel their efforts into something useful.

Not everyone will see the light of how enchanting they are during every minute of the day. In other words, it is a full time job being exquisite.

Keep your standards over momentary lapses of judgement.

Simply carry on and be your fabulous self. Funny enough, this is actually pretty easy.

You are not dead from the outcome you did not immediately receive. You are still breathing. This is a dramatic way of saying nothing has changed.

Keep on searching until you find the results you want, because what you have to offer is showstoppingly mesmerising in another room.

Be Charlotte York about it with a polite smile and say, ‘This does not work for me this week.’ It is concise, honest, and kind. Move on with your smile and timeless energy.

You do not have to be nice, but be kind.

Nice is overgiving when someone needs to feel special. It is a generosity given to friends in need of hearing positive affirmations or a shoulder when their loved ones pass away.

Kind is compassion in your disposition that does not need to be said aloud. Forgiving fast for they know what they do is your forte.

To state it alternatively, kindness is when you prevent either party from getting hurt by staying too long. It is the way you move with grace about your boundaries.

Never give people your tears unless they feed you for years, pay your bills consistently, and warm you each night.

Rip the bandaid off expeditiously with precision.

A thousand thank yous. I will be on my way.

Rejection is simply redirection that does not need to linger.

The most beautiful chapters begin when a door closes with a little more elegance than we expected.

Carry yourself with poise, protect your peace, and remember that what is meant for you will never require you to beg for a seat at the table.

The universe is not on a budget only for you to dim your light in one room when you were destined to captivate another.

Be selective of the room.
