DO NOT BUY The Dyson Airwrap! This Dupe Saves You Hundreds.
After a life of purchasing ridiculous luxury items, I was considering having a blowdryer that makes the same on-brand statement: pay for quality and results. I am constantly rushing to get ready and tired of pretending I did not just fry my hair with a curling iron hotter than the sun. FTC: This contains affiliates.

I have been eyeing the Dyson Airwrap for years, lured in by the sleek marketing, salon-style results, and rose gold dreams. But every time I dared to hover over “Add to Cart,” my wallet screamed — $700? For a styler that might break in two years? No thanks.

I needed something better — a tool that could actually keep up with my routine (and not take up half my counter space with cords and chaos). After deep-diving into YouTube reviews, reading endless comparisons, and dodging overpriced “aesthetic” pink tax traps, I found the ultimate hair styler dupe that gave me everything I wanted: bounce, shine, smoothness, and speed… all for only $65 + tax.

This post is for the burnt-out, frizz-fighting, budget-conscious girls who still want to look like they just walked out of a salon. Let’s get into the dupe that beat the Dyson and the T3 Aire 360 — and saved me hundreds. FTC: This contains affiliate links.

Et Voilà! The 5 in 1 Hair Styler
My Pains
- My blowdryer is on its last legs.
- I want to get ready faster.
- I want to look like I had a professional blowdry / hair styling everyday.
- Multi-styler with blowdryer, airwrap, and blow dry brush without a ton of extra wires

My Current Styling Routine
After I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair, then let it air dry for a few minutes. Less than an hour, more than 20 minutes. Then I towel dry it again before spraying hair oil whilst plugging in my blowdryer. When I am massaging the hair oil into my hair, I plug in my curling iron to start heating up so that hopefully it is done when I am finished blowdrying my hair. Usually, my curling iron is not, so I walk away doing something else for 15 minutes to find it hot.

Next, I style my hair with a somewhat melted glove and have to be super careful and take a lot of time getting frustrated about being burnt several times and accidentally burning items around me. That is how hot it is. My hair is finally finished, and I have to wait for the curling iron to cool down so I can put it away. Most of the time, I leave it out all night and my boyfriend has to use the vanity with no space. My hair is utterly fried the next day and looks super dry and crispy for the next few days..
My Problems With The Dyson
- Dyson is super expensive and breaks down like others – doesn’t last a lifetime as it claims. I have had many Dyson products in the past and have experienced this. I have read a lot about the airwrap failing and not lasting a lifetime.
- I was looking at T3 Aire 360 – the comparison was a bigger, shinier blowout and had all the tools I was looking for. It also makes your hair shinier and less frizzy than the Dyson. It also goes on sale all the time for $250 versus $300.
- I found Amazon dupes and went into a rabbit hole with this being the best value. There are some similar tools that are different colours with double the price, but I think they are adding the pink tax for more aesthetic purposes, because people are willing to pay for this rather than $700.

This video initially sold me on the T3 Aire 360. I was thinking about buying the T3 Aire 360, because the rose Dyson is always sold out when I do have the money to add it to cart and dare to think about purchasing it. However, this is way cuter and all the Dysons have horrid colours in my opinion. Also, I like the fact that this has all the tools I need – blowdryer, blowdry brush, and hair wrap.
Save yourself $700 and $300. Buy this hair styler instead.
This is the trylater Blowdryer brush 5 in 1 set. It is a negative ion hair dryer brush set that styles your hair with
- Two sets of airwarp heads in right and left directions,
- A blowdry head
- Blowdry brush for straight styling
- Blowdry big bouncy volume brush
- Body
- Glove
It comes with instructions, but I treat it like the Dyson airwrap, because I saw so many tutorials on all of these tools I mentioned. It is meant for all the styles: straight, curls, drying, big blowouts, and smoothing.

Things to note about this styler
It gets hot.
When using the hair wrapping tools, they get hot even after you take them off, but the ends do not, so you do not have to worry about burning yourself in this regard. This is the perfect segue to the next tip.

Use the ‘low’ setting to cool and set your hair.
Remember to use the cooling function after heating your hair to style it. It also cools off the hair wrapping tool for setting it down and removing it later.
The air power has only one setting.
I like to blowdry my hair after I have towel dried and air dried it a bit anyway, so keep this in mind if you are trying to cook your hair straight out of the shower. It is powerful, but not something that has different settings on how strong it blows, but how hot and cold it gets.
The settings are for hottest to coolest.
Refer to the last sentence in the paragraph above. Also, I keep forgetting the settings are at the bottom of the body, so it is a little bit inconvenient. It is not a big deal to me, because I am so happy with the results.
When switching heads, make sure you hear a click.
I almost accidentally whacked myself in the face when I realised the head was not on properly, so make sure you twist the head down and listen for a click to secure.
Be careful with pressing the head release button.
I keep accidentally pressing the release button thinking it will change the setting. That is how a majority of my hair tools are, and I am in the habit of having this little convenience. Do not worry nothing happens, because it has to be pressed with a lot of pressure to remove the head.
The R and L hair wraps are the opposite to me.
When it comes to styling my hair, personally I like to use the R for the left side and the L for my right side. This is very personal at the end of the day, because I used to cook–I mean curl iron my hair in the same direction to make my appearance more symmetrical. It is up to you how you use it and have fun styling with it.
I am looking for a cute bag to store it in.
Even when I am not travelling, I want to find a way to store the heads properly so they do not get damaged, and are aesthetically in a neat order. Keep an eye out for this in a future favourites video, because I am on the hunt for one on Amazon! There are so many to choose from, but I am trying to find something that is the most convenient, is cute, and makes sense logistically.

The benefits for me
- It has removable heads for more styling options.
- It makes my hair incredibly shiny.
- It was INSANE the short amount of time it took to style my hair.
The hair is hairing! My sweetheart has long hair and I keep offering to straighten out his frow, wave it, and try all sorts of styling with it. He said he will think about it, but I am still trying to convince him to let me do his hair. He lets me braid it, but that is about it.

My hair looks like a pop star from the 80s when I style my fringe and I cannot stop laughing when I add extra volume to it. Also, I feel like a movie star with how bouncy it makes my hair, how fast and easy the barrel curls appear, and how shiny my hair gleams. If you want to make your hair be on the wavier end, wait one minute before applying hairspray and the curls will drop with the separation of your fingers wide apart gently combing through your strands.

I sincerely hope this helps, and hope you experience all the joy and excitement of everything from opening, styling, and living the results day to day with my new movie star hair. My hair is of the quality that makes it seem like I go to an expensive salon in Beverly Hills when I simply take less than ten minutes to do all of my Asian-thick long hair down to my navel. I am so proud I made this purchase and will not de-influence anyone to not buy this hair styler, because the results are TO DIE FOR.
If this blog post helped you, I am so glad it did! From the bottom of my hair, I had pure excitement surging through my veins to hop on the internet and share it with you. It has truly been a while since I have been this thrilled about sharing something, because I feel like I tricked the system into making it work for me.
Let me know in the comments below if this worked for you, if you are thinking about getting one for yourself or as a gift, or any other questions. It would be my pleasure to help, and thank you so much for reading until the end.
